What is a Mz3 nebula? Some intresting facts about Ant Nebula

Image
Ant nebula whose technical name is Mz3 (Menzel3) is a young bipolar planetary nebula (PN) in the constellation Norma that is composed of bright core and four distinct hight-velocity outflows that have been named lobes, columns, rays and chakram. It's all lobes share the same axis of the symmetry but each have very different morphologies and opening angles. Facts about the Ant Nebula:- 1. Mz3 is a complex system composed of three nested pairs of bipolar lobes and an equitorial ellipse.  2. It is referred to as Ant nebula because it resembles the head and thorax of a garden-variety ant. 3. Mz3 is radially expanding at a rate of about 50 km/s. 4. It looks like or compared to the Butterfly nebula (M 2-9) because of their appearance. 5. In the heart of nebula there is a white dwarf with a binary companion are present. 6. Mz3 was discovered by Donald Haward Menzel in 1922.

What is a Horsehead Nebula? Some intresting facts about Horsehead Nebula

Image
The Horsehead Nebula is also known as Barnard 33 is a small dark nebula in the constellation Orion. It appears within the southern region of the dense dust cloid known as Lynds1630, along the edge of the much larger, active star forming H II region called IC 434. It is one of the most identifiable nebulae because of it's resemblance to a Horsehead. Facts about the Horsehead Nebula:- 1. The Horsehead Nebula is approximately 1375 light years away from Earth. 2. It is located in the constellation Orion.  3. A deep red colour originates in the nebula because of the ionization of the hydrogen gas which is behind the nebula and caused by the nearby bright star sigma orionis. 4. It's radius is 3.5 light years. 5. It was first recoin 1888 by Scottish astronomer Williamina Flaming

Information and Facts about Flames Nebula

Image
The Flame Nebula is also known as NGC 2024 and Sh2-277 is an emission nebula in the Constellation Orion. The bright star Alnitar the easternmost star in the Belt of Orion, shines energetic ultraviolet light into the flames and this knocks electron away from great clouds of hydrogen gas that resides there. Facts about Flames Nebual:- 1. It is about 900 to 1500 light years away from Earth. 2. At the centre of the Flames Nebula is a cluster of newly formed stars, 86% of which have circumsteller disks. 3. The Flames Nebula is a part of the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex, a star forming region that is Claudes the famous Horsehead Nebula. 4. Youngest star of this nebula are connected near the centre of the cluster. 5. It's radius is 6 light years.
